Migrating a 60-User CPA Firm’s Tax Software to the Cloud

A CPA firm relied on an on-prem Thomson Reuters tax application, making remote work difficult during tax season. I moved the tax software and SQL database to Azure Virtual Machines (Windows Server 2022) and optimized remote performance. I also implemented Azure Backup & Site Recovery for disaster recovery. This resulted in 40% faster processing speeds, 100% uptime during tax season, and enabled remote work without VPN dependencies.
